"Planning is bringing the future into the present so that you can do something about it now."

– Alan Lakein

My entire life, I have always been intensely dedicated to what is important to me. As any responsible person should be, I am dedicated most to my family and my work; family is my purpose, work is my passion.

When my son was born, I remember how overwhelmed I felt with not just the sense of responsibility, but everything else that came along with bringing a new baby home. While my wife and I were able to manage each new challenge as it came, it was often stressful, confusing, and scary.

When people think of estate planning, it often invokes similar emotions – stress, confusion, and fear. But with the right attorney, one who you are comfortable with and trust fully, a person can avoid those emotions and feel peace of mind instead. The opportunity to provide that peace of mind for young families such as mine is exactly why I chose to become an estate planning lawyer.

What if both parents were severely injured in a car accident and incapacitated for a long period of time?  Who takes care of the kids?  A cousin of mine had to sell his multimillion dollar dream home because he made bad financial decisions before his dementia was diagnosed.

That’s why I’m passionate about estate planning and working with and educating young families. Let’s talk about your estate planning goals and needs. You make the decisions. We help protect your family from the unexpected.

When it comes to my passion, I set high standards for myself and notice that my clients have come to appreciate that. I pride myself on communication, as well as my ability to advocate for my clients’ needs. My goal is to build a personal and life-long working relationship with you and your family. I am a recurring presence in my clients’ lives that helps ensure everything they care about is protected.

In addition to estate planning, I provide real estate closing and title services throughout South Florida. I am an authorized title agent associated with Old Republic National Title Insurance Company and Attorneys’ Title Fund Services, LLC.

Some more background about me: I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where I learned the importance of family, friends, and helping others.

Before moving to South Florida in 2009, I graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. During my time at Penn State, I served on the Rules and Regulations Committee for THON, a student-run philanthropy benefitting children and families impacted by childhood cancer.

I then moved to South Florida and received my Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law and was elected to the Order of the Coif honor society. During law school, I served as an Executive Editor of the University of Miami Business Law Review. I was also a fellow with the Professional Responsibility and Ethics Program, where I developed and presented continuing legal education courses on professional responsibility “hot topics” for the legal community.

After law school, I worked in the litigation departments of two top-tier law firms.  While I gained invaluable experience working for “Big Law” firms, I believe that I am able to build more personal and familial relationships with my clients in a boutique law office setting. Most exciting, I get to live out my dream of managing my own law firm!
